1.1 Prestige Automobiles Co., Ltd is committed to ensuring that your personal data is protected in accordance with the applicable laws of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. The purpose of this policy is to explain how we collect information about you, the procedures that we have in place to safeguard your privacy, and how you can instruct us if you prefer to limit the use of that information.
1.2 Prestige Automobiles Co., Ltd will collect and use your personal data which we obtain directly from you (for example, from vehicle sales or purchase agreements, repair orders, vehicle rental agreements, contracts, and related forms signed by you), from third parties (such as credit reference agencies or our service providers), or from information we obtain as a result of our relationship with you, for any of the following purposes:
(a) for registration of the vehicle(s) stated in the vehicle sale agreement(s) entered into with you, to register ownership of the vehicle(s) with the relevant transport authorities, including but not limited to the Road Transport Administration Department (RTAD) of Myanmar;
(b) for the provision of vehicle leasing, rental or chauffeur-driven services as stated in the respective contracts entered into with you;
(c) to share your information with the vehicle manufacturer(s), its/their related corporations and contractors, and/or insurance companies, which will provide the necessary warranties and/or extended warranties (if any) for the vehicle(s);
(d) to share your information with financial institutions and motor vehicle insurers on your behalf, in order that you may obtain financing and motor insurance for the vehicle(s), and to obtain outstanding loan amounts on your behalf to assist in motor vehicle loan redemptions;
(e)to update our after-sales service records, used by us, our appointed after-sales service dealers, agents, and sub-contractors to provide after-sales services, repairs, and service notifications (including SMS alerts for routine service dates or mileage);
(f) for research, audit, and analysis purposes to monitor and improve our services, as well as for administrative, geographical, and statistical analysis; and
(g) for organizing events, and to inform you via any means (including SMS, MMS, phone calls, faxes, magazines, or brochures) of new products, promotions, or services provided by Prestige Automobiles Co., Ltd.
1.3 We will also disclose your information to:-
(a) our service providers, such as providers of web hosting or maintenance services;
(b) our customer service agencies for research, administrative, and statistical analysis;
(c) to ouour service providers, vehicle manufacturer(s), and their related corporations for organizing events and sending promotional updates;
(d) vehicle manufacturer(s) and their contractors for market research and product planning;
(e) our business partners for carrying out product promotions; and
(f) our stakeholders and vehicle manufacturer(s) for surveys and audits.
1.4 We will retain your personal information either for the duration of our business relationship or for the requisite retention periods stipulated in any contractual arrangements or under the applicable laws of Myanmar, whichever is later.
1.5 If we change our data protection policy, we will email you and place notices on our website so you remain aware of how your information is used. Continued use of our services signifies your agreement to such changes
1.6 The information you provide may be transferred to our principals within or outside the Republic of the Union of Myanmar for survey, audit, and research purposes in compliance with Myanmar regulations. By accepting these terms, you consent to these transfers.
1.7 You have a right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you and information regarding how it was used or disclosed during the past year. To exercise this right, please:
(a) put your request in writing specifying whether you want a copy of your personal data, usage details, or both;
(b) include proof of your identity and address (e.g., a copy of your National Registration Card (NRC), driving license, or recent utility bill); and
(c) specify the personal data or account/reference numbers you wish to access.
We will reply to you as soon as reasonably possible upon receipt of your request.
1.8 You have the right to correct any inaccuracies in your data free of charge. To exercise this right, please:
(a) put your request in writing;
(b) provide sufficient information to identify yourself (e.g., account number, username, registration details); and
(c) specify the incorrect information and what it should be replaced with.
1.9 You have the right to ask us to stop processing your personal data for direct marketing purposes. To exercise this right, please:
(a) put your request in writing via email;
(b) provide your name, NRC number, mobile number, email, and vehicle registration number; and
(c) specify any particular channels (e.g., voice call, SMS, MMS, mailers, or email) you are withdrawing consent from, if not a general opt-out.
